We arrived early Wednesday afternoon, April 22, along with 125 other vendors from across the country and Great Britain at The Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Smucci was assigned booth # one inside the huge indoor riding stadium temporarily being used as the trade fair associated with The Rolex competition. Incredibly well organized, we had exactly one hour to unload our display and inventory, and move out of the way for the next vendor. After parking our trailer and walking the breathtakingly beautiful grounds of the park, we headed back to our 10 x 15 foot booth, and created our display.
Setting up for a trade show has become routine for me (artist, owner) my son Jamie (photographer and computer expert), and Justin Martin (technical, mechanical, and electrical support). The Rolex is our 3rd show in three months, and by far our most elaborate and prestigious!
We spent 4 wonderful days selling Smucci products, meeting thousands of new people, and greeting hundreds of very hot and thirsty dogs with fresh water and dog treats... compliments of Smucci.
and looking at state of the art horse trailers complete with living quarters for their human owners, and all things equestrian related!
What a great time we had introducing Smucci to the equestrian population. The memories and comraderie of navigating such an event are forever, and the connections irrepacable. And the honor of being accepted into this very esteemed group will always humble me, and take my breath away.
